Riga is famous with its parks and gardens, greenery of the city canal banks and boulevard's alley. Green areas provide the capital of Latvia with a special attraction. Green areas are popular place for walking among the local residents and foreign tourists.

Country, region, city, village ... Each area is somehow unique and admirable.

The only way inhabitants can affect on city plans is if they get information about them.

Analyzing the current urbanization processes in Latvia and in the world and its main characteristics it is important to note the growing importance of the urban areas in the socio economic and spatial development of the country.

When I was asked to write this, I immediately said “yes”.
